About Me
Finding Inspiration in Every Turn
Carissa holds a diploma in Social Service Work from Sheridan College and a Bachelor’s degree in Equity, Diversity, and Human Rights from Laurentian University, with a minor in Indigenous health and wellness. She is deeply committed to advancing health equity for marginalized populations and believes in the power of storytelling and intentional community dialogues to shift perspectives and drive lasting social change. Her work centre’s on creating inclusive environments where diverse voices are heard, valued, and empowered. As settlers and many of us as Indigenous peoples from other lands, learning the true history here in Canada, including the history and legacy of residential schools, the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, Treaties and Aboriginal rights, Indigenous law, and Aboriginal-Crown relations will improve how we show up for our own cultures and in reconciliation with the Original Peoples.

Our Story
Lilac Consulting Solutions was derived from my passion to educate through storytelling as a means for folks to have empathy when learning about complex societal issues. Spiritually, the lilac's light purple colour is linked to higher awareness, intuition, and spiritual consciousness, making it a flower of enlightenment and inner peace. In many cultures, lilacs are seen as a bridge between the physical and spiritual realms, helping one connect with inner wisdom and the gentle beauty of life’s cycles. The flower reminds us to release past sorrows, embrace the present moment, and remain open to new possibilities on our spiritual journey.
